A few weeks ago, I attended the Mid America Truck Show in Louisville Kentucky. It was a great experience and I hope that I will get to go again next year. It was a little awkward at first because everyone wanted to come up and shake my hand. I quickly got used to it after about an hour. I also enjoyed when we were unloading the car and everyone around stopped what they were doing and watched. After we unloaded the car, we set up everything then went to bed to prepare for the next day.

I woke up to the sound of my dad whispering “wake up sleeping teenager”. After that I quickly got up and headed over to baked bean’s tent for a quick bite to eat. After we ate some bacon and eggs, we decided to head over to the truck show. The truck show was ten times bigger than I expected it to be. There were more displays everywhere we looked. Just when I thought we saw it all there would be another section that we had to go to. After about four hours in the show, we decided to call it quits for the day and head back to the trailer. Back in the parking lot, I was still meeting lots of new people. That night, we unveiled the car. It was pretty exciting starting the car with so many people watching. After giving a few more t-shirts to supporters, I decided to go to bed.

The next morning we woke up bright and early to go to the show again. This time I brought my camera so I could take lots of pictures. This time we went to see all the new trucks on display and the show trucks. After getting my picture taken with the Hooter girls, we realized that Gary wasn’t with us. We took the bus back to the parking lot and we found Gary under the tent. That night we met some more people and I bragged about my experience with the Hooter girls.

The last day of the truck show, I chose not to go because I was just too tired. After two full days of walking, I still don’t think I saw everything in that show. After my dad and Gary got back from the show, we decided to slowly pack up everything. A few hours later we were all ready to load the car on to the trailer. My dad asked me if I wanted to drive the car on the trailer and I said “I’ll try”. There were lots of people watching and lots of pressure on me, but I was able to do it without any mistakes. We left the truck show at about 5, and we headed to Cincinnati to appear on Bubba Bo’s show. We arrived in Cincinnati at about 7 and we decided to stay at a hotel for the night. At the hotel, we all had a shower to freshen up. I was woken up by the pizza delivery guy who was knocking on the door to bring us the pizza we ordered. We then left the hotel to go to the radio studio. I thought it was pretty cool that I was going to be on the radio. Although I only said a few words, I had a good time there. We left the radio station at around 3 in the morning. We woke up early the next morning and were ready for the long haul home.
